Not speaking a word of Italian and not knowing anyone, I arrived at Lake Como and began an experience that changed the course of my life. 56 countries later I developed a love of travel that led me to my biggest adventure yet - Bluestone Travel.

Meet Michael
Michael Bluestone is the founder & CEO of Bluestone Travel. Michael is a former Trip Leader of eight years at Backroads where he led hiking, cycling and multisport trips in Italy, Spain, Argentina and Peru. In 2012, Michael expanded his professional career by developing partnerships with local providers in South Africa in order to create exciting and cultural trip itineraries tailored for Semester at Sea students from around the world. This endeavor led to the creation of Michael’s company, Bluestone Travel (formally Bluestone Tours).
