Our Story
What Makes Bluestone Travel Unique
Michael Bluestone, CEO and Founder of Bluestone Travel, has lived abroad in diverse destinations including a year with an Italian family when he was just 14 years old. Michael was 22 when he was introduced to the travel industry as a guide for Backroads, the leading company in the active travel space, and now he has over 10 years of experience throughout various countries. After Backroads, Michael shifted gears from being only a guide to also being a tour operator as he developed his own unique Bluestone Travel trips to the Dolomites, Patagonia and Atacama, the Faroe Islands, and Southern Africa. Later, Michael joined Frosch (a Chase company) as an independent travel advisor, enabling him to provide all travel services and the best benefits to his clients.
The combination of living abroad, guiding people, developing trips, and working as a travel agent has allowed Michael to navigate the intricacies of logistics, ensuring seamless adventures for his clients. This multifaceted expertise has enabled Bluestone Travel to provide authentic and transformative travel experiences.
